NEUE GRAND - MELBOURNE
Melbourne Sky Garage at 613 St Kilda Rd is a concept developed by CarCram for the developer Growland, included into the design by Rothe Lowman and being built by LU Simon Builders. Seen on prime-time television show - Weekend Sunrise - this project parks the cars of residents in the apartments of this magnificent 20 storey building.

ESQUE - SOUTH YARRA
Esque at 649 Chapel St, South Yarra is one of the very few automated car storage systems in Melbourne which resides in a basement. Melbourne CBD and surrounds sit very close to the water table and this makes it difficult to go into the ground. But the developer - Mitraland - thought otherwise and pushed the design beyond the challenge. CarCram developed this concept for Mitraland and installed the system to deliver an impressive result.

COLLINS HOUSE
Collins House at 466 Collins St, Melbourne is a marvel of architectural design by Bates Smart and has won many awards since its completion in 2019. Using cutting edge building innovation through a blend of HBS (Hickory Building Systems) and tilt slab, the building went up quickly through clever planning by Hickory for Golden Age and the Deague Group. The fourth tallest skinny building in the world, there was no other choice than for all 108 vehicles to be parked in an automated system - with only a very few millimetres to spare! Installed by CarCram, delivered on time and running reliably with a very pleased client and happy building manager.

AC MARRIOTT @ THE NORMANBY
The Normanby at 199 Normanby Rd, Southbank is the latest development from the ever-active Capital Alliance Investment Group. CarCram was brought to the table at the very earliest time by leading developer PM, Urban to deliver a design to fit 128 cars into the podium of the building.
DKO Architects adapted the initial concepts quickly to deliver a carefully planned design which has delivered a building design which neatly wraps around the parking system.
Crema Constructions completed the construction delivering their first project with a fully automated parking system during an extremely challenging time where Melbourne and Australia are suffering through a pandemic.
With CarCram Contracting completing the installation on time and to get the project through troubled times to calmer waters on the other side.

Stature
Stature at 35 Hancock St, South Melbourne presents a new offering from Salvo which delivers a modern and sharpened interpretation of New Yorks Flatiron building. Using every available millimetre of space, the developer Salvo had to select the most compact parking system to deliver their 98 car parks.
CarCram, Wohr, Salvo, Rothe Lowman and Rincovitch worked through many iterantions to arrive at the successful concept to deliver the needs of the project.
The design includes the ever reliable Wohr Parksafe 582 combined with a sidelift and the innovative parking cabin which allows drivers to enter the system at 90 degrees to the stored cars.
To improve the compaction of the system, all structural steel columns pass through the intermediate slabs to the bottom of the system. The end result is more cars in less space, but a substantial increase in effort to do it.
Due to the compact design, Maxcon (builder) had to develop new ways to deliver the system with integrated hoisting systems and optimised scheduling techniques.
Completed April 2023, CarCram looks forward to the next project with Salvo and Maxcon.
The queensbridge building
TQB at 88 Queensbridge St, Southbank represents a bold new offering from the partnership of Time & Place and hickory - from the award-winning Collins House project.
Seeking 111 parking places, the developer chose to use a known reliable solution in the Wohr Parksafe 583.
In a project where complexity was commonplace due to form and location, CarCram worked closely with each stakeholder over many years to land on a solution which delivers the needs of the developer, the installation sequence for the construction schedule and the reliability for the end user.
